It has been a long journey that has led pianist and composer Adriano Regazzin back to the essence of his musical creation. After his training as a jazz musician, he first accompanied other artists (Steff La Cheffe, Eliana Burki, William White, Dodo and many others) on the keys for 16 years. It was Rome where he was to take time to define his position and follow his growing desire for his own expression. Since then, he has been creating music that looks back on time like a reminiscence - a diary that focuses less on moments and more on describing atmospheres while winking at the future. After the solo piano EPs "Pigneto" and "Mare Mosso, Fuoco & Vento", 7 compositions for piano and string quartet were created this year at the Musikinsel Rheinau. These pieces, arranged by Fabia Paller, also tell of this tender and gentle joy of contemplation.
Es war eine lange Reise, die der Pianist und Komponist Adriano Regazzin zurück zur Essenz seines musikalischen Schaffens geführt hat. Nach seiner Ausbildung zum Jazz-Musiker begleitete er zunächst 16 Jahre lang andere Künstler (Steff La Cheffe, Eliana Burki, William White, Dodo u.v.m.) auf den Tasten. Es war Rom, wo er sich Zeit für eine Standortbestimmung nehmen sollte und seinem gewachsenen Wunsch nach eigenem Ausdruck folgte. Seither entsteht Musik, die wie eine Reminiszenz auf die Zeit zurückschaut – ein Tagebuch, das weniger auf Momente fokussiert, sondern Atmosphären beschreibt und dabei blinzelnd in die Zukunft zeigt. Nach den Solopiano-EPs «Pigneto» und «Mare Mosso, Fuoco & Vento» sind dieses Jahr auf der Musikinsel Rheinau 7 Kompositionen für Klavier und Streichquartett entstanden. Auch diese Stücke, arrangiert von Fabia Paller, erzählen von dieser zarten und sanften Freude der Besonnenheit.

Fu a Roma che si prese il tempo per definire la sua posizione e seguire il suo crescente desiderio di espressione personale. Da allora, crea musica che guarda al tempo come a una reminiscenza - un diario che si concentra meno sui momenti e più sulla descrizione di atmosfere mentre strizza l'occhio al futuro.
